There are 3 Stages of Care (Acute, Functional, Optimal) that our patients would be classified under. Our assessments help to identify where each patient is currently so we can put a treatment plan in place to specifically address the needs and usher them toward optimal health.
Acute – pain control
Functional – range of motion, restoration of normal Actions of Daily Life (ADL)
Optimal – well (improvement and/or maintenance of this level)
The application of pulsed or alternating electric current to muscles in order to cause natural contractions and maintain their health in expectation of recovery of spontaneous function.
A heat pack is designed to warm up one’s body to prevent swelling of injuries. Ice packs are commonly used as a cold compress to alleviate the pain of minor injuries. We also use hot stones and Himalayan Salt Stone Therapy.
